Kaitiaki is a Web community site which uses the same software which powers the Advogato web community site, mod virgule. The site is for kaitiaki mäori, working on behalf of whanau, hapu and iwi, particularly on environment and resource management issues and can be browsed at http://www.kaitiaki.org.nz/virgule/

The Kaitiaki dataset is much smaller than the Advogato dataset and so very useful for testing trust metrics for bugs. A daily snapshot of the graph.dot file, collected since October 13 2007, is available in this directory: http://www.trustlet.org/datasets/kaitiaki/

The very interesting characteristics of Kaitiaki dataset (just as Advogato dataset) is that trust statements are weighted at four different levels:

  • Kaitiro - observers (people waiting to be welcomed)
  • Te Hunga Manuhiri - visitors (newcomers)
  • Te Hunga Käinga - full members - also members of the incorporated society
  • Te Komiti Whakahaere - the executive members of the society

(in Advogato they were Observer, Apprentice, Journeyer, and Master).
