[edit] Moving things here from the old wiki

Hey Paolo! I will slowly copy things from the old wiki and adjust them. It's good if you can keep an eye on things, and remove the stuff you don't want before I try to make it all look nice :) Guaka 14:05, 16 June 2007 (PDT)

I'll try to do it ;-) but move only what you think it makes sense, it is better to grow slowly but consistently --PaoloMassa 14:19, 16 June 2007 (PDT)
Well, ok. I just created an account on the moinmoin so that I can actually remove content there, and create some links here.
It would be good to get a nice domain name now, and set up nice URLs, e.g. ourdomainname.org/wiki/, so that we'll have a good PageRank. Guaka 03:35, 17 June 2007 (PDT)
Absolutely! This is the first thing we have to do, but better discuss it when you are here. --PaoloMassa 03:52, 17 June 2007 (PDT)

[edit] evolution in time of networks

Self note: we should collect the same network at different times (possibly daily) in order to study the evolution in time of networks. Evolution in time is not an easy topic of study but surely interesting and challenging. So "evolution in time of networks" is what? A research topic? Shall we deserve a category to this? Uhm ... --PaoloMassa 08:32, 21 June 2007 (PDT)

[edit] Automatic aggregation of papers

Kasper, do you think it is possible to automatically aggregates papers written by someone, since they are represented as templates? --PaoloMassa 12:39, 11 August 2007 (PDT)

Hmm, it's better to ask things to me on my talk pages ;)
I'm not sure. I think we can create a category for this. Which template is exactly used only for papers? Also, I noticed there are a lot of wanted pages related to all the cite stuff. Maybe you can take a look at it sometimes. guakawikitalk 16:35, 30 August 2007 (PDT)
yup, i'll do it. --PaoloMassa 02:50, 31 August 2007 (PDT)

[edit] Wanted pages

There's a bunch of "wanted pages" related to the book citing, check Special:Wantedpages. I don't know what to do with that. Maybe we should not have an article about PDF and ISO standards, or maybe we should. I guess it's better to directly link to the articles on Wikipedia? guakawikitalk 21:17, 24 September 2007 (PDT)

Many comes from Template:Cite_journal/doc and similar templates, since I copied them from Wikipedia, could we change Template:Cite_journal/doc into a redirect to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Cite_journal/doc and similar templates? --PaoloMassa 06:14, 25 September 2007 (PDT)

[edit] OpenID

Hi Paolo, could you install the OpenID extension for MediaWiki? It requires putting the code in extensions/ and creating an extra table (the SQL script is included). I'll promise to drop by more often :) guakawikitalk 12:49, 27 December 2008 (PST)

if you want I give you access to the filesystem so that you can install it, what do you think of that? Otherwise I'll try to do it! --PaoloMassa 03:37, 22 January 2009 (PST)
